I wanted to remind everyone to make sure to tune in for our next installment of Soundview Live. We’ll be joined by James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner, the authors of The Truth About Leadership: The No-Fads, Heart-of-the-Matter Facts You Need to Know. I’ve been looking over the outline for tomorrow’s event, and I think it will be an information-packed session for everyone in attendance.
Leadership is a subject that generates a tremendous amount of interest, but at the same time, theories on what makes a great leader can greatly vary. What Kouzes and Posner offer, in both their book and tomorrow’s Soundview Live event, are truths about leadership that evade any attempt to capitalize on trends. If, after attending this event, you were to examine a diverse group of successful leaders, from Peter Drucker to Winston Churchill to Steve Jobs, you will see the key characteristics and actions in each person that match one of the truths Kouzes and Posner outline.
New leaders will want to attend Soundview Live to provide themselves with a set of commandments on which to build a successful career. Experienced leaders will benefit from the authors’ careful separation of time-tested wheat from trendy chaff. It certainly doesn’t hurt that the material offered by the authors is the result of more than three decades of research and interaction with thousands of organizations.
Soundview Live featuring Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner debuts Tuesday, July 12 at Noon (Eastern). If you are unable to attend the live event, a link to download the archived Webinar will be made available in the days following the broadcast.
If you’re attending the event, don’t forget to submit your questions for our Q&A session!
